    Baseball/Softball Rules Meetings

    The Baseball and Girls’ Softball Rules Meetings scheduled to be held in Nashville, Memphis, and Jackson have been postponed.  Following is the revised schedule:

    Nashville – Hillwood High School, Sunday, January 21 (Girls’ Softball Meeting is at 2 PM; Baseball Meeting is at 3 PM).

    Memphis – Memphis University School, Monday, January 22 (Girls’ Softball Meeting is at 5:30 PM; Baseball at 6:30 PM)

    Jackson – University School of Jackson, Wednesday, January 24 (Girls’ Softball Meeting is at 5:30 PM: Baseball at 6:30 PM)

    State Bowling Tournament Schedule

    The schedule for the TSSAA State Bowling Tournament will be changed for Thursday.

    Due to inclement weather, continued cold temperatures, and potential hazardous road conditions, the TSSAA individual state tournament start times for Thursday are being adjusted. The new schedule is as follows (All times Central Time):

    Gates Open: 9:00 a.m.

    DI Individual Coaches Meeting: 10:00 a.m.

    DI Individual Quarterfinals: 10:30 a.m.

    DII Individual Coaches Meeting: 2:00 p.m.

    DI and DII Individual Semifinals: 2:30 p.m.

    The TSSAA Board of Control passed a proposal that requires a heat policy for all its member schools. The requirements of the policy include adjustments which must be made for activities depending on the heat index at the location where the activities take place. The TSSAA Heat policy is the minimum standard that member schools must follow. The TSSAA Heat policy will prohibit schools from practicing or competing when the heat index at the location of the activity is in excess of 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
