INSTRUCTIONS FOR TEAMS ENTERING THE TSSAA DIVISION II INDIVIDUAL WRESTLING STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Tournament Location
The tournament will take place at the Frank Burkholder Wellness Facility on the campus of Montgomery Bell Academy.
Concessions/Food Brought Into the Arena
Concessions will be available. No tents, tables, crockpots, or heating devices are allowed in the facility.
Checking Weight and Distribution of Team Packets
The facility will be open on Thursday, February 13th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM CST for teams to pick up their credentials and for the participants to check their weight. Gates will open on Friday, February 14th at 7:30 AM CST with weigh-ins scheduled for 8:30 AM CST.
Procedures for Arena Entry and Access to the Arena Floor
Coaches and wrestlers should plan on entering at the Team Entry gate as shown on the map below. Wrestlers who are competing will receive a hand stamp.
Wrestlers who did not qualify for the state championships as an individual will be admitted at the team entrance for $7 per person, provided all athletes from a school arrive at the same time with a school representative and a roster printed from the TSSAA Portal. Payment must be made by school check or through a charge on the school’s TSSAA Portal account. If not arriving together with a school representative, non-participants will be expected to purchase a full-price ticket.
Coaches’ Wristbands
The number of wristbands each school will receive will be based on the number of coaches each school has registered online in the TSSAA Portal. If the coach is visible on the online directory for your school on the TSSAA website, then he or she has been registered. You will be given a wristband for each coach that is registered online. You will also be given one extra wristband to use as you wish. You should plan to use this extra wristband for anyone who will accompany the team to the bench area who is not a coach (statistician, video-operator, manager etc.).
Team Managers
Team managers will not be admitted free of charge. Schools may choose to use the extra wristband from their team packet to accommodate a team manager, however, no additional wristbands will be given.
Athletic Trainers
Athletic Trainers from the Middle Tennessee area will provide coverage for this event. School athletic trainers who have registered for and received the “School Athletic Trainer” credential will be admitted at the team entrance with that pass. Any other athletic training staff that is with your team party should come through the team entrance gate to sign in.
Ticket Prices/Online Ticket Purchasing
$12.00 if purchased in advance on GoFan
$15.00 if purchased with cash at the door
Tickets purchased through GoFan will be mobile-only, meaning that these tickets can only be redeemed at the entrance gate when presented on a personal mobile device with access to the internet. Visit GoFan to purchase tickets now. Parking tickets can also be purchased on GoFan at the same time.
The TACA (Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association) Card will be accepted at the gate. Admission will be given only to the holder of the card when presented with a matching photo ID. School Administrators who are recognized in the TSSAA Online Directory will be admitted free of charge, but must sign in at the team entrance area.
Parking
Parking for the event will be $5.00. School buses, charter buses and team passenger vans will be directed to a designated parking area and will not be charged for parking. All other vehicles parking in the main lot will be charged $5.00. You will receive one parking pass in your team packet to be used as you wish. If you have wrestlers that are driving individually to the tournament, they should expect to pay to park. Although TACA cards can be used for admission into the event, they will not be accepted in lieu of the parking fee.

Hospitality Room
Coaches with wristbands, officials in uniform, and media with proper credentials are the only persons allowed in the hospitality room.
Cheerleaders
Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted into the arena free of charge. They will not be allowed onto the wrestling floor. This includes the championship finals. One cheerleading coach accompanying the team will be admitted free of charge. The coach and cheerleaders need to enter through the team entrance gate.
Recognition of Medalists
After the first 7 weight classes are wrestled in the championship finals, there will be a break for the award ceremony of those 7 weight classes. Wrestling will resume with the final 7 weight classes with awards given to those 7 weights at the conclusion of the last match.
