As Week 4 of the TSSAA high school football season draws near, anticipation is high for another round of exciting games. Out of 177 games scheduled this week, 106 will feature important region matchups that could impact playoff standings, while seven games will involve non-member teams.
Fans are encouraged to enjoy the games with a spirit of sportsmanship, as these events represent not only their schools but also their communities.
For those unable to attend, at least 90 games will be broadcast on the NFHS Network, offering fans across the state and beyond a chance to watch. Subscribers will also have access to other sports like volleyball and soccer.

Historical Notes
Oakhaven at Fairley: In the last five meetings between these two teams, the away team has emerged victorious each time.
Collinwood at Eagleville: In their matchups over the past three years, the home team has won each game by more than 20 points.
Germantown at Riverdale: These two opponents have faced each other twice in the state championship. Riverdale won 14-10 in the 1994 championship, and Germantown won 10-7 in 2003.
Smyrna at Ravenwood: In 2006, these two teams faced each other in the state championship when the bulldogs defeated the raptors 35-14.
Memphis University School at McCallie: In 2018, these two teams faced each other in the playoff semifinals where MUS took the victory, 10-7. More recently, in 2020, the teams faced each other in the state championship when McCallie won 44-0.
