- Approved the Financial Report of the 2015 State Bowling Tournament
- Approved the Financial Report of 2014 TSSAA Hall of Champions Games
- Discussed request for TSSAA Board of Control Roundtable at the TIAAA Conference in April.
- Approved Membership Request for Beacon School. They are requesting TSSAA membership effective with the 2015-2016 school year. Beacon School is located in Greeneville. It is licensed through the Tennessee Department of Education as a Category 1 school serving grades K-12. If approved, Beacon School plans to offer cross country and co-op with Greeneville High School in other sanctioned sports. They will be placed in Division I, Class A-AA, District 1 in Cross Country. Their current enrollment in grades 9-12 is 41 students.
- Voted to approve Football Practice Regulations which were developed in conjunction with the NFHS Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for regular and post-season football practice. Board also voted to mandate the state office organize three regional meetings that all head football coaches must attend regarding this issue prior to the 2015 football season.
- Voted to Deny Official’s Appeal of Suspension of Registration
- Approved Membership Request for Republic High School effective with the 2015-2016 school year. Republic School is located in Nashville. It is licensed through the Tennessee Department of Education as a Category 2 approved charter with Metro Nashville Public Schools. For the 2015-2016 school year they will offer the 9th grade and will add a grade each year. Their estimated enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year is 150 students. If approved, Republic High School will be classified in District 10, Class A-AA in soccer; District 11, Region 5 in bowling; the Middle TN section in track and field; Region 3, Class A-AA in individual wrestling; Region 8, Class A-AA in dual wrestling; and in Class A, District 10, Region 5 for all other sports. In football, they will be DI, 1A, Region 5 but cannot participate in the football playoffs during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years. This is due to the fact that region schedules for the next two years have been completed and the school will have to play an independent schedule.
