MURFREESBORO- - -The winner of the Division I Class A Mr. Basketball Award was announced at the conclusion of the championship game today at Murphy Center. Your 2015 Division I Class A Mr. Basketball Award winner is Jeremiah Martin of Mitchell High School. The other two finalists were Tucker Campbell from Adamsville High School and Marcus Deberry from Union City High School. Martin is a 6’3”, senior guard for the Tigers. He is a three year starter who averages 19.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. He shoots 43% from the field, 37% from three-point range, and 78% from the free throw line. He has been named to the All-State team twice and is a three-time Commercial Appeal “Best of the Preps” selection. He has also been named to the All-District team four consecutive years.
