The TSSAA Board of Control will meet on Thursday, November 17 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Murfreesboro. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. CST.
More than 20 schools have submitted appeals to the Board in regards to their district/region placement for the 2023-2025 classification cycle. Five schools are appealing their enrollment figures.
Three schools have submitted requests for membership in the TSSAA. Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence High, Kirkwood High School in Clarksville, and Kehilla High School in Nashville have all submitted requests to join the association.
Both Hamilton High School and Raleigh-Egypt High School are appealing sanctions placed on their girls’ basketball programs after an unsportsmanlike incident that occurred during the regional semifinal game between the two schools towards the end of the 2021-22 season. This item was tabled during the June 2022 meeting of the Board of Control. The members of the Board asked the school administration to report results of their sportsmanship and community service initiatives to the state office prior to the August or November meeting.
