- Proposed addition to Article I, Section 8 (Responsibility of the Principal) of the TSSAA Bylaws:
Section 8: Member schools are responsible for the conduct of coaches. Public criticism of game officials by administrators or coaches will result in a fine of $500.00 assessed to the school. Other non-monetary penalties may be assessed by the Executive Director based on the facts.
- Proposed addition to Article I, Section 6 (Cooperative Programs) of the TSSAA Bylaws:
For independent schools that co-op with other schools for football, basketball, baseball, and softball, if the school with their name on the uniform is an independent school, that school will be required to include the enrollment of the other school for classification purposes.
Rationale: Enrollment is the foundation for classification; if an athletic team in one of the "major" sports listed above is comprised of athletes from more than one school, the enrollment numbers from both schools should be combined to determine the classification for that school. A precedent is in place currently as all-boys and all-girls schools are required to have their enrollment doubled; we believe a team in the listed sports comprised of players from two schools should be required to include the enrollment of both schools for classification purposes.
