  4. 2014 Regional Meetings There were no proposals for changes in the TSSAA Bylaws on the Regional Meetings agenda this year. A report of these meetings will be provided to the Board of Control.
  5. Review of 2014 Fall Sports The financial reports for all fall sports tournaments will be presented at the January meeting of the Board of Control. The staff will provide a brief review of the state tournament events in golf, girls' volleyball, girls' soccer, and cross country. The staff will also give an update of the 2014 Cheerleading Championships as well as the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee State Football Championships in Cookeville.

  9. Update from TSSAA Advisory Committee
  10. Classification TSSAA Board of Control Policy states that schools that have had a 20% increase or decrease in enrollment which causes them to be in a different class must be moved during this meeting. The staff will present this information. Division I Football will also be reclassified based on the new Six Class Plan approved by the Board in August.
  11. Woodstock Middle/High School Requests TSSAA Membership Woodstock Middle/High School is a Shelby County School that has always been in the Middle School Association. This year they added 9th and 10th grade and plan to add 11th and 12th grade next year. Currently, they have 125 high school students. The administration is requesting immediate membership but only wants to compete at the junior varsity level this year. If approved, they plan to offer basketball, girls' volleyball, baseball, track and field, girls' and boys' soccer, wrestling, girls' softball, and football.
  12. Oliver Springs High School Appeals Enrollment Number Oliver Springs High School is appealing their 20th day enrollment number which was submitted to the state office.
  13. Sectional Track Appeal Four schools in East Tennessee are requesting to compete in the East Tennessee Sectional Track Meet instead of Middle Tennessee.
  14. Fairview Christian Academy Requests TSSAA Membership Fairview Christian Academy is requesting TSSAA membership. FCA is a small Christian school in Athens with 25 students in grades 9-12. They are approved by the Tennessee State Department of Education as a Category 2 school. FCA does not provide need-based financial aid to student-athletes. If approved, they plan to participate in DI basketball and girls' volleyball and possibly co-op in other sanctioned sports. FCA will be placed in DI, Class A, competing in District 3, Region 2.

  16. MNPS Virtual School Requests TSSAA Membership MNPS Virtual School is requesting TSSAA membership. MNPS Virtual School is approved by the Tennessee State Department of Education as a Category 1 school. Their current full-time enrollment is 140 students. If approved, MNPS Virtual School plans to form a cooperative program with McGavock High School.

  23. Zion Christian Academy - District Football Schedule
  24. Grace Christian Academy (Franklin) Requests TSSAA Membership Grace Christian Academy in Franklin, TN is requesting to become members of TSSAA. Grace Christian Academy is licensed through the Tennessee State Department of Education as a Category 2 school. It is accredited by Advanced Ed. Grace Christian has a current enrollment of 130 students in grades 9-12. If approved, the school plans to participate in girls' volleyball, cross country, football, girls' soccer, wrestling, girls' and boys' basketball, baseball, girls' softball, and soccer. They will be placed in Division I, Class A, competing in District 11, Region 6 in girls' volleyball, basketball, baseball and girls' softball. They will compete in Division 1A, Region 4 in football and Division I Class A-AA, District 11, Region 6 in cross country, girls' soccer, and soccer. They will be in Region 3 for Individual Wrestling and Region 7 for Dual Wrestling.
  25. Sullivan East High School Requests to Host Region 1 Basketball Tournament Sullivan East High School requests the Board to consider allowing each school in Division I, Class AA, District 1 and 2 to rotate the regional basketball tournament.
