- TSSAA Board of Control Roundtable Our TIAAA and Cheer Coaches’ Conferences will be held on April 10-12, 2016, at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro. The TIAAA Board wants to have a question and answer session at the conclusion of the Conference. This year, they have requested that we ask the President and Vice President of the Board of Control and Legislative Council to make up the panel.
- Recruiting New Officials The number of registered officials continues to decline. We need to have a discussion about how we can help our Assignors and Supervisors recruit, train, and retain new officials.
- McGavock High School Appeal of Wrestling Fine The administration of McGavock High School would like to appeal the fine assessed to their wrestling program for removing their team from competition on January 5th.
- Margolin Hebrew Academy Requests TSSAA Membership Margolin Hebrew Academy, in Memphis, is requesting to become a TSSAA member beginning with the 2016-17 school year. The school is approved by SAIS and currently has 57 students in grades 9-12. If approved, they plan to participate in Division II in cross country, basketball, and track and field.
- STEM Prep Academy (Nashville) Requests TSSAA Membership STEM Prep Academy is requesting to become a TSSAA member school beginning with the 2016-17 school year. STEM Prep Academy is a Category I Charter school located in Nashville. Their estimated enrollment will be 260 students in grades 9-10. If approved, they play to participate in cross country, track and field, soccer, and junior varsity basketball. They will be placed in Division I, Class A District 10 in basketball, A-AA (Middle Section) in track and field, and District 10 A-AA in cross country and soccer.
- Presentation of BlueCross Bowl Check Representatives from the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will be present to present TSSAA with a check for the 2015 BlueCross Bowl.
- Litigation Report
- Westminster Academy Requests TSSAA Membership Westminsert Academy, in Memphis, is requesting to become a TSSAA members school beginning with the 2016-17 school year. The school is recognized by the Tennessee Department of Education as a Category 2 non-public school accredited by the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS), and the school currently has 63 students in grades 9-12. If approved, they plan to participate in Division II cross country and track and field.
- Official Appeals Suspension of Registration Greg SSzydlowski is appealing the suspension of his registration as a TSSAA soccer official.
