MURFREESBORO- - -The winner of the Division I Class A Miss Basketball Award was announced at the conclusion of the championship game today at Murphy Center. Your 2015 Division I Class A Miss Basketball Award winner is Abbey Dew of Houston County High School. The other two finalists were Lakelyn Bouldin from Van Buren County High School and Averyale Joy from Middleton High School. Dew is a 5’7”, senior guard for the Fighting Irish. She is a four year starter who averages 19 points, three rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. She shoots 52% from the field, 31% from three-point range, and 72% from the free throw line. This season she was named the District 10-A MVP. Abbey has been named to both the All-District and District All-Tournament teams each year of her high school career. She was an All-Region pick last year as a junior.
