Class AAA Mr. Basketball Winner: LeRon Black from White Station High School

MURFREESBORO- – -The winner of the Class AAA Mr. Basketball Award was announced at the conclusion of the championship game today at Murphy Center.

LeRon Black from White Station High School was named Mr. Basketball in Class AAA for 2014.  The other two finalists were C.J. Anderson from Arlington High School and Daniel Norl from Kenwood High School.

Black is a 6’7”, senior, power forward.  He is a four-year starter for the Spartans who averages 20 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals per game.  He shoots 56% from the field, 36% from three-point range, and 72% from the free-throw line.  He is an All-District and All-Region selection.  He was named the MVP of the Penny Hoopfest and the Lighthouse Classic.  LeRon has scored over 1,600 points and has over 1,100 rebounds in his career at White Station.
