LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL AGENDA
Hermitage,
1.
Proposals of 2002 Regional Meetings
a.
Voted that action be delayed on the proposal to
Change Article I, Section 2 of the TSSAA Bylaws to state:
Effective with the 2005-2006-classification period, all
public schools shall play in Division I and all non-public schools shall play
in Division II.
The proposal, if passed,
would not go into effect until the 2005-06 school year. By delaying action, this gives the
Legislative Council, Board of Control, and TSSAA Staff an opportunity to inform
the member schools of the changes and the impact those changes will have on all
schools. It will also allow an
opportunity to explore all options. The
Legislative Council has requested that a presentation be made by the staff in
regard to these possible changes and options at the 2003 fall administrators’
meetings.

regional meeting to change Article II, Section 1 of the TSSAA Bylaws to allow

whose zone or attendance area they reside.
